– In November 2022 PURP's mind was buried in muddy ruminations. "Mud"? We have plenty here, quoth Lucia, my froggy aura'd companion. So she proposed inviting him for some days to our cave-house in the country near Sant'Agatha de' Gothi. It had been raining for months in what I used to call our own little Scotland; the ground in front of the house had turned to fishy mud, and the air inside was so wet that joints were hard to be set ablaze. Thick mists surrounded the old stone village, and nobody but soggy stray dogs and cats was around. In the cave-house, coughing and snorting, I plugged whatever was to be plugged into my soaked 4 track machine, and PURP started playing. We recorded his whole album in one take. Then, we forgot about it for almost a year. The quicksands took over again... I feared that the misty mountains of madness had muddled everything again. But they had not, for something from beyond had intervened... serpentine angels from the ladybug realm... the labyrinth... translucent actors in mossy boats on the purple water.. The Angelic Simulation hath begun... SIMULATION SIMULATION SIMULATION SIMULATIOOOOOON... –
